Rebecca Brown: Operations Manager
Rebecca is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the business and is the first point of contact for our customers. Rebecca joined xCenta Solutions in November 2007 following the take-over of DCS Automotive (UK) Ltd by Kalamazoo-Reynolds and the acquisition of the xCenta business. Prior to joining xCenta Solutions, Rebecca provided account management support to a number of our clients so is familiar with all aspects of the xCenta product portfolio.
Mark Ash: Technical Consultant
Mark provides technical support, system development/maintenance and database management for xCenta Solutions. With HND in Software Engineering he joined DCS Automotive in the summer of 1998, initially working in the IBM iSeries division, providing development skills and customer support. From 2003 onwards, Mark worked in the DCS E-business division, developing and supporting both windows and web-based products, including the xCenta system. In addition to maintaining and supporting the front-end of the xCenta platform, Mark gained extensive knowledge into the database and server-side implementation of xCenta, and holds a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) qualification in SQL Server management.

Peter Purdom: Director
Peter has responsibility for the operation and strategic development of the xCenta Solutions business. Trained as an engineer with Rolls Royce, he has board level experience with major manufacturing companies both in the UK and in France. He is currently chairman of Automotive Technology Limited.
David Littleford: Director
David is responsible for the upkeep of the content of the xCenta health and safety systems in conjunction with our consultants. Together with Ian Holmes he was responsible for the development of the original paper-based system in 1996 as Signum Publications. Previously David had board level responsibility for Human Resources with the Rover Group and with Otis.
Ian Holmes MSc, MCIEH, CMIOSH, Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner: Health & Safety Development Director
Ian’s career covers 30 years within the Local Authorities achieving the rank of Chief Officer of Environmental Services. He ran a major multi-disciplinary department covering architectural, civil engineering, maritime, economic development, environmental health and safety enforcement in the public sector and was a member of Working Party for the Department of Environment. He has presented evidence to various Select Committees of the House of Commons and the House of Lords considering new legislation and to Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution.
In 1990, on leaving the public sector for the private sector, he joined the Appleyard Group plc as Group Health & Safety Manager for 3 years prior to developing his own consultancy Sigerson Associates. He was Health & Safety Technical Director for Signum Publications Ltd. prior to the formation of xCenta Solutions Ltd. Ian is an active member of the HSE National Interest Group for Motor Vehicle Repair and for the Retail Motor Industry Federations Health & Safety Committee.
His expertise, knowledge and successful involvement within Risk Management in niche markets - motor, banks, hotels, paper mills, commercial offices, doctor’s surgeries and local authority care services - ensured his recognition as a leading authority within these industries.

Dr John Powell D.Phil., C.Chem., MRSC., Dip. Safety & Hygiene: Senior Health & Safety / Environmental Consultant
A former HM Principal Inspector of Health and Safety, he retired from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 2005. For most of his 32 year career, he was a Field Inspector responsible for enforcing health and safety legislation across a wide range of sectors, particularly the engineering and associated industries, chemicals and Local Authorities, in both Scotland and England.
For his last 5 years, he was Head of Engineering in HSE's Manufacturing Sector, agreeing industry standards and setting priorities for inspection. During this time, he produced several HSE industry and topic web pages and guidance publications, particularly for the Motor Vehicle and Engineering sectors. As Head of Engineering, John was Chair of HSE's Motor Vehicle Repair Health and Safety Forum. In addition, he represented the HSE on a number of industry Health & Safety committees including Steel Stockholding, Surface engineering and the Motor Industry.
Dr Albert Rooms PhD. MSc. BSc. FCIEH. CFIOSH. Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner: Senior Health & Safety / Environmental Consultant
Albert is a specialist in Environmental Health and Occupational Safety with a 30-year career experience in Local Authority regulatory enforcement and senior advisory positions in large blue chip private sector organisations (Cooperative Retail Services and British Nuclear Fuels) In addition, he has extensive consultancy and training experience including off shore in the North Sea oil industry.
He has served on a number of national technical and advisory committees representing both public and private sector organisations. Albert has presented papers at national and international safety conferences, including Germany and Hong Kong.
He has extensive teaching and training experience both for local government training organisations and at the academic level at the University of Salford (he is currently serving as a member of the examination board for the MSc Occupational Safety) In addition, he is a registered trainer and has delivered safety training courses validated by the CIEH and IOSH.
Keith Roberts MSc MRSC CChem FCIWM: Managing Director of KR Waste Management Consultancy Ltd / Environmental Consultant
Keith has over 30 years experience of waste management and for last 15 years with Safetykleen Europe, the leading garage waste company within Europe. Whilst with Safetykleen he initially operated as Environmental Compliance manager for their UK operations, and over the last 7 years of he was European Technical Operations Manager. His role embraced managing the company’s UK solvent recycling facility, and company spokesman lobbying central government and legislators on proposed and existing legislation. His role developed into being the company’s European Legislative Affairs representative dealing with EU and Member State Governments and regulators. This enabled Safetykleen’s individual country management to be in the vanguard of current legislation and future developments. During this period, he was also their Project Director in partnership with the Environment Agency on the Life Hazred Project, involved in the reduction of the production of hazardous waste.
Other activities include: Past Chair of the Oil and Chemical Recycling Associations between October 2006 and current a member of the management committee - member of the Environment Agency’s Task and Finish Group to determine when used oils could cease to be waste - Chair of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management’s (CIWM) Special Interest Group on Waste Regulation and a member of their Special Interest Group on Hazardous Waste and numerous other influential Waste management action groups. He has been a regular tutor and approved trainer for CIWM.
Brian Massey, BA. DMA, FCIH, MCIEH,Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, Senior Health & Safety / Environmental Consultant
Brian is qualified as an Environmental Health Officer working with several local Enforcement Agencies rising to the rank of Principal Officer. His broad experience covers all major Environmental Health & Safety aspects of businesses.
After leaving the Local Government service, he joined the private sector as a Consultant taking a Regional Director's position with a major national organisation dealing with premises and environmental consultancy. During this period, Brian has developed Environmental Health & Safety quality control systems, including safe methods of work and risk management.
